Spacious and Comfortable Rooms: The room I stayed in was like a cozy oasis, with its air conditioning making it feel like a breath of fresh air on a hot summer day. The private bathroom with a bath was a great bonus, providing a relaxing retreat after a long day of exploring.
Minor maintenance issues: One small hiccup during my stay was a broken shower curtain rail. However, this was quickly addressed by the attentive staff, showing their dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience for guests.

Getting to the location was much more difficult than it should have been. Directions obtained online and then signage to hotel were very confusing

The friendly staff in the cafeteria and restaurant
There is no elevator - my wife was in great pain struggling up and down stairs with a walking stick. When you get to the first floor it is in total darkness and there are no light switches for about ten metres - you have to grope along the wall to find them..This contravenes all health and safety and "disability requirements.During our one nights stay there was a thunderstorm and this affected the electrical power in the room -not completely but no television and no bedside lights

The guestrooms at Hotel Alhama ensure a good night's sleep with amenities like air conditioning, heating, and comfortable beds. The rooms are practical and sophisticated, providing a cozy atmosphere for a weary backpacker like myself. The bright and air-conditioned rooms, with their private bathrooms and free internet access, offer a convenient and pleasant stay. I especially loved the tiled/marble floors in the double room, adding a touch of elegance to the overall ambiance.
Personally, I found the lack of an included breakfast a bit disappointing. However, I understand that others may still enjoy exploring local eateries for their morning meals.

Located in a remote area, this hotel offers easy access to nearby attractions and is a good option for budget travelers. the rooms are modestly furnished with limited amenities and the bathrooms need a refresh. the staff provides friendly service and the breakfast is adequate. Despite the lack of on-site facilities, the local community is welcoming and adds value to the stay.
The noise level from the bar and surrounding area can disrupt sleep.

The Alhama hotel in Cintruenigo had a few positive aspects worth mentioning. the rooms were surprisingly spacious, providing plenty of room to move around and store luggage. each room had a balcony, offering a pleasant view of the surroundings. However, it would have been even better if the balcony had some seating to truly enjoy the view.
While my stay at the Alhama hotel was relatively pleasant, there were a few minor drawbacks. As with many budget Spanish hotels, the state of repair of the room was lacking.

The guestrooms at Hotel Alhama are so comfortable! I had a great night's sleep with the air conditioning and heating. The room had everything I needed, like a desk and a balcony/terrace. It even had free WiFi and a safe, which were very convenient for me as a business guest. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Honestly, the only thing I didn't love was the tile/marble floor in the double room. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

Excellent value for money with reasonable prices for dinner, bed, and breakfast. Convenient location just a short distance from the town center, making it a good stopover option for a night. Although the furnishings were a bit dated, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff who provided good recommendations, including the restaurant in town.
The breakfast options were basic and could be improved.

During Christmas, we stayed at a hotel claimed to be in a rural location. The restaurant offered excellent food at good value, with a menu for 13 euro. The region is rich and we enjoyed a visit to a nearby desertic area with amazing landscapes and outdoor activities.
The hotel was off-putting from the outside as it sat beside a petrol station and a lorry park on the main road past Cintruenigo. The hotel lacked room seating on the balcony, and the Wi-Fi did not work in our room.

Quiet despite the nearby road, delicious food, fast and professional service. The perfect pit stop when traveling in the North of Spain. highly recommended!

The hotel is conveniently located near main road and is a good pit stop for travellers. Good value with clean rooms and friendly staff. The triple glazed windows keep out the noise of the nearby road, making for a comfortable stay.
The restaurant's quality is lacking with limited dinner options and a poor continental breakfast. Be sure to clarify the added cost of ordering wine with your meal. The bar's noisy extraction fan was not turned off at night, so request a room away from the bar if you are a light sleeper.
